If you would like to make a donation there are a number of ways that you can give, both online and in person at our church. We have listed here the ways you can give, do not hesitate to contact us with any questions.
You can make a donation online, using a credit card (Visa, MasterCard, American Express, Discover). You will be redirected to a webpage run by PayPal, who we use to process these donations. At that page you can choose the amount of your donation. You do not have to have a PayPal account to make a donation, simply use the link under the heading, “Don’t have a PayPal account?” to donate without having to log into PayPal.
Give during services
You can give in our regular offerings using cash or check. You can also donate using your debit or credit card at our terminal in the foyer before service.
For tax purposes, please remember to legibly put your complete first and last name or Envelope/Donor number on an offering envelope with your offering. Your Smythe Street Envelope/Donor Number can be obtained from your last year’s receipt for income tax purposes, from the church treasurer, or the church office, 458-8206 ext 21.
If you submit a form with a void cheque, you can authorize weekly, bi-weekly or monthly donations to be automatically withdrawn from a bank account. Download a copy of the form, or contact the church office. Please submit the form to the office, attention to the church treasurer.
Pay as a bill via online banking
We are now set-up to receive donations through the online bill payment service offered by banks. To use this service, you need to log in to your banking website, and in bills, add SMYTHE STREET CATHEDRAL as one of your bills.
Once you find SMYTHE STREET CATHEDRAL, just use9999OFFER as your account number. You are now setup to make a donation. For tax receipting purposes, the donation will be recorded as coming from the person logged into the bank website (the bank provides us with the name and address of the person making the donation).
You can also give to a particular project, missionary or department of the church with online banking. Please click here for instructions on how to set this up.
