NextGen Ministries: inspiring generations to follow Jesus.

Join us weekly on Sunday’s during our Morning Services at 9:00am & 11:00am. Join us for a great time developing friendships, and experiencing innovative approaches to the Bible and application in our every day lives.

“And I will live for the Lord; my descendants will serve you. The generation to come will be told of the Lord, that they may proclaim to a people yet unborn the deliverance you have brought.”
Psalm 22:31-32 (NABRE)

Babies – Preschool

First impressions are important. That’s why our we focus on giving preschool children a first impression of their loving Heavenly Father. We keep it simple and fun, repeating one basic truth about God all month long. We aim to help children understand worship, introduce them to small group time, and encourage them to talk to God any time at any place. We do all this at upstairs in our Sunday morning services at 9 AM & 11 AM each week.

It’s our goal that by the time one of our children are school-aged, we want them to know these three basic truths:

  1. God made me.
  2. God loves me.
  3. Jesus wants to be my friend forever.
Babies & Toddlers
We believe that it is never too early to begin instilling values into the lives of our children. Babies & Toddlers believes in quality care for your little one.  Operating at a 1 volunteer to every 3 babies ratio you can be assured your baby will be in good hands while attending our church service.
Nursing Mom’s Room
For Mom’s who would enjoy a bit of privacy to nurse their babies while still hearing the Sunday service through a live audio feed we now offer a quiet comfortable space to do so.
2’s
Our 2 year olds enjoy a program tailored to their specific developmental milestones, all the while ensuring they are being introduced to key values of God’s love in a fun and engaging way.
3-5 year olds
These busy little critters are continually exploring and asking questions and we want to be sure that before they are 5 years old they know tbat God is their creator, their Heavenly Father and their friend.

Nursing Mom’s Room

If you are looking for a private space to nurse your child, during Sunday services, we have a room available in the church office for you to use. It has comfortable chairs, a change pad, spare diapers and a feed of the service audio.

Kids (K-Grade 5)

By the time children reach the fifth grade, we want them to understand and own these 3 Basic Truths modeled by Jesus in Luke 2:52, so they’re reinforced each week.

  1. I need to make the wise choice.
  2. I can trust God no matter what.
  3. I should treat others the way I want to be treated.

We also focus on a core virtue each month. This virtue is supported by the weekly bottom line—the learning aim for the day. We do this with engaging worship, Bible stories and small group time. We do all this at upstairs in our Sunday morning services at 9 AM & 11 AM each week.

Middle School

We recognize that Middle Schoolers have unique needs. We focus on three basic truths through teaching and small group time.

  1. I will love God because he never stops loving me.
  2. I will follow Jesus because he knows me better than I know myself.
  3. I will live out God’s story so others can know who Jesus is.

In our Sunday mornings, we introduce worshiping together in our adult services followed by their own Bible teaching and small group time.

  • 8:45AM or 10:45AM Small Groups
  • 9:00AM or 11:00AM Worship in Section D
  • 9:40AM or 11:40AM Bible Teaching
  • 10:00AM or 12:00PM Small Groups
  • 10:15-11:00AM “The In Between”- Waffle Bar between our two services

On Thursday Nights, we have Middle School nights. Students are encouraged to come and ‘hang-out’ from 4 PM – 6:30 PM. At 5 PM we have a time to eat together, bring $2 on the 2nd and 3rd Sunday of the month for a kitchen party when we eat together. On the 4th Sunday of the month we will walk up to one of the fast food places up the hill (BYO$). Then at 6:30 PM on Thursday Nights, we have an evening just for Middle School students. Interactive Game Time, relevant Bible Teaching and Small Group Discussion, ending at 8:30 PM.

Plus, the first Thursday of each month is DISPATCH, a special service where we join up with High School students with a special emphasis on corporate worship. DISPATCH serves as a launch pad into a series of Bible teaching for the remainder of the month. There will be an emphasis on Small Group discussion and application.

High School

High School finds students on the cusp of becoming young adults and independent. That is why we encourage students to serve and worship in our regular Sunday services while plugging in to a Sunday evening Home Group for Bible teaching and small group time relevant to their specific phase of life. On Sundays mornings at our 9 AM & 11 AM service, we our High School students sit together in section D as a group to worship and learn together.

On Sunday evenings, we have High School Home Groups. They are small groups happening in different locations around the city with food, laughter, prayer and time to explore faith in Christ. They run from 5:00PM to 8:00PM. Sign up on Thursday, Feb 7th at 6:30 PM, or contact Pastor Heidi at heidi@ssc.church

Safe Zone

In an effort to ensure your child’s safety, as well as the safety of our volunteers, all children, parents and visitors in the Babies to Grade 5 zone upstairs on a Sunday will be required to wear a corresponding parent/child registration sticker with ID number or a “Safe Zone Approved” badge.

The Parent ID number will be used in the event that we need to contact you during service. In the corner of the media projection slide your child’s id number will flash requesting you come and get them.

To properly manage traffic flow when registering your child in the morning, please use the front stairwell. In the event that you would like to come collect your child during the service, or at the end of service please use the back stairwell.
