Merge is the ministry for students and young adults at Smythe Street Cathedral. It is lead by Pastor Tony Curtis and an awesome team of leaders dedicated to reaching this generation with the message of Jesus Christ. Our goal is to create a place where students ENGAGE their faith, EQUIP themselves in God’s Word, and EXTEND themselves to be the hands and feet of Jesus in our world!

What does it look like? Picture 70 – 80 students hanging out at our Pre-Party that starts each week at 6:45pm in the Lobby. We have a Live DJ, Snack Bar, Games, and our Impossible Shot competition! We always celebrate our new guests and have a Birthday celebration time.

We then head into the auditorium for a specially designed service for Students. We have lots of fun with our Random Video Moment, Facetime, and sometimes a crazy game!

We are a student ministry of small groups! You’ll find that it’s a very family/friendly atmosphere. We want every single student to feel loved, valued and part of something “small.” We believe that solid friendships are KEY to a healthy vibrant walk with God! “Show me your friends and i’ll show you your future!” We often get in small groups for a bit to talk, catch up and pray together!

Then it’s time for an incredible time of worship with our amazing Merge Band! If you’ve never experienced the love or presence of God, you will! Pastor Tony then speaks on a relevant message that challenges students to grow closer in their relationship with God!

This is a special night just for young adults who have graduated from High School to age 25. It’s a night to make and connect with friends, worship together, study God’s word together and eat after. It happens at 6 PM, and most weeks it is in the Student Lounge, but we do go out from time to time.
