Each year we focus on a few projects as a church in the Christmas season to make a difference in the lives of people both locally and globally. We give you the information on them ahead of time so you can thoughtfully and prayerful consider how you could take part. Here are the projects we undertaking this year.

Operation Christmas Child

A program where people take a shoebox and fill it with items to be given to a child in a developing country. Boxes are distributed by local churches as a means of showing God’s love and to present the gospel. Boxes can be picked up in the Fellowship Hall. A small donation is required to help cover shipping.

Boxes Available: Sunday, October 22th & October 29th
Returned by: Sunday, November 5th

Haiti:  WASH Program

‘WASH’ stands for Water, Sanitation and Hygiene. In conjunction with FreddyLink and World Vision, monies raised in offering provide washing stations, latrines and education within the schools. Education is very important as the training gained by students will be transferred to their families and in this way benefit the entire community. The WASH program is one of the most effective tools and approaches to overcome cholera, a deadly water-borne disease responsible for numerous deaths in Haiti.

This is a timely gift to our community in Haiti as next year our community is set to transition to maintaining their community programs and progress without the outside assistance of World Vision. Our plan is to see a team travel to Haiti in the spring of 2018 to celebrate their transition to self-sufficiency and see what God has done through FreddyLink in the past seven years.

Special offering to be received: Sunday, November 19th & 26 th
Or give in the Sunday offering designated “WASH”
