6 years ago, my daughter and I had the privilege of visiting Haiti and and I can tell you that the country and its people stole a piece of our hearts on that trip.
Not only did we get to meet our sponsor child, but we had the added bonus of getting to meet his mother as well. I will never forget the big hug she gave me while saying “Thank you for doing for our son what we can’t do”. Those words hit me like a ton of bricks. What is equivalent to a cup of coffee a day that I don’t even notice, was making a huge difference in their life.
But there is still one thing that many people in Haiti don’t have, and that is clean water. Something we take for granted. Imagine having to walk 6 km to get that clean water every day?? Sounds crazy, but that is their reality.
I hope you’ll take part in helping raise funds to help the lovely people of Haiti have clean water!
