Once again during this wonderful Advent season, we are asking for a financial response that will enable us to care for those in need in the following two areas:
Christmas for the City
This offering enables us to care for those who struggle against poverty and homelessness right here in our city. Some of these needs include:
- Providing a family with groceries to enjoy a Christmas meal together.
- Helping a family provide boots and coats for their children.
- Providing support for someone who is homeless to get off the street and into a safe place of their own.
- Preventing eviction or the loss of utilities for a family who is struggling to meet financial obligations.

CHRISTMAS IN KENYA
In Kenya, when a mom goes to prison her babies/children go with her, but at a certain age the children have to leave the prison and they become orphans. Prison Christian Ministries operates “Tabitha’s Houses” where children can have a safe place to live until their mothers are released from prison. They are opening another Tabitha’s House in January which will house 30 children.
On Sunday, November 23rd, we’re presenting the work in Kenya and the opportunity to become a regular sponsor for a child at this new Tabitha’s House. The cost of raising and caring for one of these children is $100 per month, and we’re looking for people to sponsor a child on a monthly basis, with either the full or partial amount.
