Prison Christian Ministries (PCM) is a Fredericton based charity that serves people in prisons and their families. Locally they have teams of volunteers that regularly travel to minister to inmates at all regional prisons in New Brunswick and Nova Scotia, as well as a number of recovery centres. Internationally they have ongoing work happening in Kenya. PCM have established several Tabitha Houses, where children of incarcerated mothers can live while awaiting the mother’s release. They also have programs providing meals to children living on the streets, milk programs for young children in prison with mothers, and discipleship programs with Bibles for prisoners.
To raise funds for their ministry, they also run Seed the Need a thrift store located at 176 Main Street, Fredericton.
Rev. Brent Bishop from our church is the President of Prison Christian Ministries, and many others from our church are involved with their work.
