ACOP (the Apostolic Church of Pentecost) is a fellowship of churches and pastors across Canada with extensive projects across the world. ACOP has a specific focus internationally to send global workers into countries and peoples where there are few to no churches sharing the good news of Jesus. Our pastors are ordained members within the ACOP. SSC supports the work ACOP does in Canada, and many of our partner projects are connected to ACOP, including Unreached Peoples, and the Village of Hope.
We support the ministry of Pastor Verner Drost, our former Lead Pastor, through ACOP. He currently serves as the as the Regional Director for Québec and Atlantic Canada for the ACOP, providing support to pastors and churches throughout our region. He is also the Chaplain to the Fredericton Police Force, and continues to provide guidance to a number of churches in Spain, where he and his wife, Betty Anne, planted churches in the 1980’s.
