The Village of Hope is a drug and alcohol regeneration facility and ten-month Christian-based program dedicated to helping men and women of all ages overcome life controlling drug and alcohol problems. The first Village of Hope was established in Estonia in 2000, with the next founded in 2008 in Upper Tracey, NB. The Village of Hope continues to help men and women find Christ and live free from the grips of addiction. The ministry continues to expand with a new location in Eston, SK established in 2023, and other international opportunities on the horizon.
At Smythe Street Church we are deeply connected to Village of Hope. This ministry was founded in by Pastors Andrew and Bishop Märt Vähi. Bishop Vähi was the pastor that led our church to construct our current church building in the early 1980’s, and Andrew grew up attending our church before the Vähi family moved to do missions work in Estonia after the fall of communism.
