Smythe Street Church is looking to hire a part-time Community Care Worker, and also a part-time volunteer Facilities Director which would require three to five hours per week.
The Community Care Worker is responsible for showing Christ’s love to vulnerable people with compassion, advocacy, and resources from SSC in cooperation with partner groups. The position is for 22 hours per week. It is a chance to make a tangible difference in the lives of people facing challenges, in particular those challenged with housing or food insecurity. The Facilities Director ensures that our church facilities are properly maintained with a team of volunteers and contractors. It is a volunteer position with flexibility, and an expectation of approximately 5 hours per week. Click here for position details.
Applicants for both positions must agree and work under the statement of faith, vision, mission, and values as set out by Smythe Street Church leadership. They will also require a Police Vulnerable Sector Check and Plan to Protect Training.
